5 sites is clearly effective however the most impressive graph turning around a steep downward trend and bouncing back to exceed its previous rankings had the most sites built as part of the PBN.

Unfortunately no, I don’t install Google Analytics or other since that would leave a footprint and setting up a “fake” google account from different IP addresses just to create analytics would get a little silly. However, checking Alexa you can get a rough idea if a site is starting to get real traffic and you want to think about making it a money site.
